It is important to stress that (as regards its Full Members) the LMAA is no more than an association of practising maritime arbitrators. Those who do not as a general rule practice as umpires or arbitrators... but who are in sympathy with, and wish to lend their support to, the achievement of the objects of the Association.
Some Supporting Members act from time to time as arbitrators. A list of Supporting Members who are prepared to accept appointments is circulated twice yearly with the newsletter. It is also available from the LMAA office on request.
